Mind-Matters Series Video #7: Mental Stretch


This is a really simple visualisation exercise that connects mind and body.

Stand up and point your arm straight out in front of you. Now keeping your feet and hips still, rotate your upper body until you can’t go any further and note how far you got.

Now return to your starting position and close your eyes. Imagine doing it it again but imagine turning further and in your mind keep turning until you have rotated a full 360 degrees. Then unwind back round to your star position and repeat this 5 times.

Now open your eyes and do it once again physically and notice how much further you can go. I am certain that you will find that you can rotate much further round Now after visualising yourself doing just that.
